CAROLINE
Two teen sisters, Michelle and Caroline, lead a typical middle class life in New York City. Every summer they vacation with their parents upstate at Camp Catskills. Summer 1982 is no different than any other, except for one thing… Michelle has traveled back in time from 2024 to attempt to prevent Caroline from the cancer that killed her.
At the end of the summer the Halls return home to their Brownstone in the West Village. Michelle, armed with a cornucopia of contemporary medical research, switches her senior year focus from Physics to Oncology. She meets new classmate, Adrian but has no time for distractions. At least not in the 1980’s.
To the surprise of the family Michelle is accepted to Columbia where she proceeds to graduate with honors. Caroline predicts her sister will win the Nobel Peace Prize. And she does. She begins practicing at George Washington Hospital in NY where Caroline is a patient. Now suffering from stage 3 cancer.
Michelle adeptly brings her 21st century knowledge and techniques to treat her patients, much to the changing of her elder, Dr. Weiss.
Michelle’s holistic and unusual protocol intrigues the staff and patients as she sets a new treatment path.
Adrian now also a doctor, crosses paths with Michelle. He joins her crusade and eventually discovers her extraordinary secret as she shares her iPad, thumb drives and lastest oncological discoveries over lots of contraband Tequila and a plant medicine journey.
Finally, with private funding and a dedicated team behind her, Michelle is able to cure Caroline. Caroline experinces a time leap into the
future while in the surgery which informs us all of the ultimately happy ending.
